Description

Active Ingredient: Glimepiride 4 mg

GLIMEPIRIDE is indicated for the treatment of stable type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults who do not require insulin and cannot be controlled through diet alone. It can be used as a monotherapy or in combination with metformin.

Precautions: Glimepiride is contraindicated in individuals with hypersensitivity to glimepiride or other sulfonylureas, as well as those with diabetic ketoacidosis. Caution is advised for patients with hepatic or renal dysfunction. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. In cases of fever, infections, trauma, burns, or surgery, a switch to insulin may be necessary. Interactions with various medications should be considered, as some may increase or decrease its hypoglycemic effect.
